2020 – We’re very happy to welcome you back!
However, it is not business as usual in Tenby Harbour this year. Harbour businesses and boatmen are all working together to allow us to collectively manage our duty of care to our customers.
To help with this we are asking where possible for customers to pre book trips at least the day before arriving at the harbour. We will all be accepting bookings on the day but to avoid disappointment, capacity is much reduced on all vessels, advance booking is recommended by phone.
For example: Island Ranger, our new 3 decked cruise boat, usually able to carry up to 100 passengers is limited to 45 in order to maintain 2m social distancing.
We are operating a combined Seal safari and Islands Cruise trip using just our big boat this year to observe the 2m rule currently in place in Wales. It’s a great trip and with such limited capacity you’ll feel like you have the boat to yourself!
Refunds always given if we are unable to sail.
We’re operating windows for customers to be with us – asking you arrive 30 minutes prior to your trip to receive on the day information from the booking office/ your ticket and to join the que no more than 15 minutes prior to departure.
This will help us manage the volume of people in any area.
When disembarking the boats we’re asking that you leave the pier, booking area (Castle Square) or the marked out area of Castle beach where the landing stage operates from when the tide is out of the harbour.
Tenby boasts two glorious golden sand beaches and a beautiful town to explore.
On the boats – Hand sanditiser is available on all boats but helpful if you are able to bring your own.
Face masks will be worn by the crew when boarding. Currently, when maintaining 2m social distancing, customers are not required to wear a face covering.
A one way system is in place on the boat and 2m spacing markings are on the seating.
At least 30 minutes is allowed between each trip for cleaning to take place.
Toilets are emergency only.
The bar is not operating but feel free to BYO picnic etc.
Well behaved dogs allowed but you must use a lead and aft deck only.
Accessing the vessel – We are unable to give the usual level of assistance due to the increased risk of transmission so please bear this in mind when booking.
If you have been advised that you are clinically extremely vulnerable; have a temperature, a new continuous cough; have lost your sense of smell or taste; have been in contact with any person who has displayed the symptoms of Covid-19 – please do not visit us this year. We look forward to welcoming you next year.
Track and trace – We’ll require a name and phone number for your group to maintain records.
If you come to Tenby Harbour and see any mistakes or something that makes you feel uncomfortable – please do not start recording or taking photos to later upload on social media. Please speak to one of the managers. We will have to help each other. This is new for everyone and we are doing our utmost to make it safe and get running again.
